Claire and Hayden were married on the most perfect winter day. Although it wasn’t really winter, December 17th is technically still fall….it felt and looked like winter. It was the ONLY day it snowed this entire month, which was very unusual for northern Illinois. Although the rest of the month was a little dull and dreary… their wedding day looked like Christmas Eve right out of the movies. They used cranberries and pine greens along with the perfect amount of reds (love) and whites (wedding) to really add to the beautiful wintry feel of their day. All Flowers by Marisa made two bouquets for the bride. One red and one white.

The bride and groom opted to do a first look, which worked perfectly. They had a late ceremony, and since they wanted to take advantage of the beautiful grounds at Prairie Landing for photographs, they met and talked before all the guests arrived. All the love and laughter during their shoot made it impossible to tell they were even a little bit cold.

The best man’s toast was so funny! Claire, being a Bears fan and Hayden, being a Packers fan were required to pledge their allegiance to the other team. The horror on Claire’s face had everyone roaring.
