Colors of cranberry with accents of pink and peach were the palette for this summer inspired Abbey Farms wedding in Batavia, Illinois. Think warm, July sunset, and you’ll have the feeling of this dreamy wedding filled with pearls, pink, lace, and beautiful Parisian inspired details. Soft pink and wine red roses complemented the floral designs from Wild Rose Florist and they topped off the day with a lush sunset.
Rachel and Tim are total adventurers. They love camping, hiking, and the outdoors, so this chic rustic setting was perfect for this stylish, but laid back, couple. They combined their idea of a barn wedding with Rachel’s “Paris and Pearls” vision and with the help of Linda Voirin of Garland and Lace, created a beautiful reception location complete with 30 hanging globe lights.
One of my favorite details of the day included Rachel’s Twigs and Honey bridal headpiece with gorgeous handmade blossoms and sparkling Swarovski crystals.
Fun fact of the day, Rachel dropped a curling iron on her arm the week of the wedding and had a huge burn. I have seen this multiple times where something happens the week of the wedding. The key to turning an accident into a good story? Just remember, you’re still going to be married at the end of the day. It was nothing a great make-up artist couldn’t fix. Thanks to the great gals at Katrina’s salon in Batavia for their work on all the girls.
Thank you to this couple for choosing Elite Photo to photograph this amazing Abbey Farms wedding day and their beautiful engagement session.
I would also like to thank Borrowed and Blue for the recent publication of this wedding. Yay!
