Today I am looking for some answers on how to create those really awesome bumper photos you see of the guest hosts each week on Saturday Night Live. I just can’t get enough of that photography by Mary Ellen Matthews. She has such a cool style and can literally make anyone look like a movie star. No, wait, they are all movie stars. Maybe that’s my problem. I can not figure out exactly how to get the cool comical/perfect skinned images she creates. If anyone knows her secret (besides amazing, artistic talent), please give me some hints.
My subjects were not Hollywood royalty, but they’re the Prince and Princess in this kingdom. Hope you “like”.
You can see I kept the SNL letters to make it look as authentic as possible. I have so much more to learn, but these are getting there. 🙂
I had a lot of fun creating the rain and clouds in this shot…
I thought this one if “E” in the pink shirt had sort of an SNL circa 1990’s feel to it.
I don’t usually do studio work, so this was a lot of fun. To view child portraits by Elite Photo go to our gallery.
Angelina Marie SantiniLove them all – I chose “boy in tie” because I felt it had a similar attitude to SNL’s, but “girl in pink” definitely has the look as well. So much fun! Thanks for sharing!! BTW – those kids are so great!! Love ’em 🙂
