So, where do I start with this beautiful Heritage Prairie Farm wedding? Let me begin by saying this wedding was touching. The bride and groom, Teri and Bryan, really embraced their children and their friend’s children and let them help to plan and coordinate the entire ceremony. The kids played the music on various instruments as Teri walked herself down the aisle. Her daughter sang “Your Song” (an Elton John remix by Ellie Goulding) during the ceremony. Another girl interviewed many of her friends and family and gave their “definitions of love”, which had the guests laughing and crying.
Teri wore a simple, very elegant, Caroline De Villa gown and carried a bouquet of fresh lavender. Bryan was so striking in his black tie and tuxedo. There were many special elements throughout the day such as the handmade “Order of Events” and the gold menu chalkboard.
The reception included a head table draped in tulle which sat the bride, groom, and their three children. The couple’s guests enjoyed the cross back chairs and the bride and groom took advantage of a perfect Heritage Prairie Farm sunset backdrop in the venue’s purple, velvet love seat.
After an amazing farm-fresh dinner served family style from Heritage Prairie Farm’s chef, the sweets table was another special treat from three different bakeries. Sweet Dreams in Sycamore provided the cake. All Chocolate Kitchen in Geneva provided the macaroons. Graham’s Chocolates, also Geneva, Illinois, created a special treat of Honey From the Farm infused truffles. What? So beautiful and decadent.
