Elaine and Dan were married on a beautiful Saturday in May. It was supposed to rain all day, but instead it was a perfectly blue sky with those puffy white clouds that make the sky sooooo pretty. We had so much fun photographing this couple. Their love of each other, their family, and this wonderful day really showed. They were always whispering to each other, holding hands, glancing over to see where the other one was…..I particularily remember how Dan kept telling his bride “Happy Anniversary” throughout the afternoon and evening. He started after the wedding during photographs in St. Raphael Catholic Church and I heard him whisper “Happy 20 minute anniversary” to Elaine. And, again, later at Bolingbrook Golf Club, I heard a “Happy 2 hour anniversary”. It was just so sweet. I love days/weddings like this.
LauraI am reading your blog at 1:09am, insomnia crowding my brain, but somehow now I feel I can go rest, thinking of the 20 minute anniversary and how to be grateful for all the small things in my life (ok, that sounds super gaggy to even me–but hey, it’s late and I’m allowed to be sappy). Thanks for sharing this really sweet and thoughtful story, and the photos (of course) are just gorgeous, as usual.
