“Did I really just freakin’ marry you?”, Lindsey screams after they walk down the aisle. All their friends were around, laughing, crying, and hugging. It was another super fabulous wedding at the beautiful Emerson Creek Pottery and Tea Room in Oswego, Illinois.
They started out this sunny, very warm day at the super-chic Hotel Arista in Naperville. They all met up at the farm and finished getting ready for their first look. Mike was sort of nervous before Lindsey came out and it was so sweet to see his and her reaction when they first saw one another.
The day was filled with surprises (planned and unplanned). Michael surprised Lindsey with a serenade from him and his fraternity brothers and Mother Nature surprised them with an “out-of’nowhere” downpour at the exact moment Lindsey was getting ready to walk down the aisle. Everyone just picked up and moved the wedding indoors for an impromptu ceremony while the guests stood around and watched them tie the knot. It was so beautiful to see everyone be such great sports about the sudden change of plans and Mike and Lindsey, well, all they cared about was getting married. It was magical. Mike was so happy they had done the first look earlier in the day when the sun was out, so they had most of their pictures out-of-the way already and didn’t need to worry about the rainy evening.
I thought the Blackhawks cake was a riot and so did the rest of the Blackhawks fans in the house.
