I am sure if you are a Chicago wedding photographer you have probably photographed this park a whole bunch, but I’m mostly photographing weddings and engagement shoots in and around the Western Suburbs and the Fox Valley, so this was only the second time I’ve had the chance to work in this park. It was my first time photographing what I call the honeycomb, but I think it’s real name is the Peoples Gas Education Pavilion (huh?).
Kate and Matt have a terrific flat in the city with an even more terrific little white pug named Jazzy. Jazzy joined us for the first half of the shoot and then we worked our way over to the park to finish up the evening. We ended up getting caught in the Lincoln Park tunnel at one point as a torrential downpour quickly passed over us, but I got some beautiful shots and took advantage of all the different light and “weather”.
Fun couple and I can’t wait for their wedding at Prairie Landing in 2015.

LolaWow…usually I’m a sucker for the beauty of the outdoor shots….found myself so drawn to this couple in front of the vino poster. That’s what I love about Elite Photo—there is always something that surprises me, that draws me in, that I simply wouldn’t expect. The vino picture is so romantic, so sophisticated—like something out of a magazine. Thanks Elite Photo for surprising me once again!
