An amazing thing about being a wedding photographer is I get to see “moments” happen. It happens at every wedding.  It can be a groom getting choked up as he sees his beautiful bride walking towards him or the Grandma laughing as she watches her grandchildren dancing on the dance floor, and on and on.  Once-in-a-lifetime moments happen every moment of our life, but I know the ones that happen on a wedding day are extra special and this wedding was no exception.  I doubt if there’s a single person at this wedding that didn’t have a special moment they can remember.  My favorite,……the boy walking his Mom down the aisle.

The first time I met Joel and Amy, they told me how they got engaged and how he took her on a scavenger hunt (I think they said it was 10 locations) that ended at the Morten Arboretum where he finally proposed.  Her 8-year old son was there and had known about the upcoming proposal for weeks which had required many secret meetings between him and Joel before the big proposal.  Of course, Amy said yes and they planned a beautiful wedding at the always beautiful Herrington Inn and Spa on the Fox River in Geneva, IL.  Thank you to Amy and Joel for choosing us to photograph your “moments”.
